Heather Asselin is a construction trial lawyer and focuses her practice on all areas of construction litigation with an emphasis on large and complex commercial and industrial construction disputes. She has served her clients throughout the United States, in several state and federal courts, and internationally. Heather also practices before the American Arbitration Association.
In addition to her construction practice, Heather has extensive experience handling all aspects of the e-discovery process. Heather has hired and managed teams of attorneys and paralegals in connection with large document review and productions. She provides strategic guidance on all aspects of e-discovery, including but not limited to document review processes and procedures, cost management and compliance with applicable rules.
Prior to joining the firm, Heather was a Director in the Houston, Texas office of a well-established law firm in its litigation, construction, and surety practice sections.
Heather has been named a Senior Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America. She was recommended by Legal 500 US in 2019 for Construction. Heather was recognized by her peers as a Texas “Rising Star” in 2010 and each of the four years immediately preceding for Construction Litigation by Super Lawyers magazine. She was named one of “Texas’ Top 100 Trial Lawyers” by National Trial Lawyers (2011-2023), and a “Top Professional on the Fast Track” and “Top Lawyer” in Houston’s H Magazine (2010-2017,2019-2020). Heather has also been recognized by the National Women Trial Lawyers Association (2013-2024). In 2019-2024, Heather was selected as a "Top 25" by the National Women Trial Lawyers Association.
