Overview

Matt Shults focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling primarily in the areas of electronics and software.

While attending law school, Matt worked with the firm as a summer associate in 2020. He also served as a summer extern in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia where he drafted office actions for Computer Networks Art Unit 2455, conducted prior art search, and observed inter partes reviews.

While attending Tennessee Technological University, Matt served as a lab assistant where he supervised students and assisted in teaching fundamentals of electrical engineering. He was also a participant in a Senior Capstone Project focusing on minimally invasive surgery.

Matt is proficient in German.
