Overview

Greg Lazerus focuses his practice in the area of real estate finance and CMBS matters with an emphasis on representing banks and loan servicers in connection with a range of real estate, securitization issues and related transactions. He regularly represents clients with respect to the disposition of real estate, loan assumptions and modifications, transfers of ownership interests, borrower restructurings and mergers, commercial mortgage defeasances, loan originations, collateral reconfigurations, mezzanine financing, cash management, easements, and various real property related consent requests.

Prior to joining the firm, Greg worked as an associate in the New York City office of an international law firm where he represented clients in the negotiation, structuring and documentation of real estate transactions including institutional and private financing, leasing, and the purchase and sale of commercial properties.

While in law school, Greg was a legal intern for the Sierra Club Environmental Law Program in Washington, D.C. in 2009 and a summer associate in the New York City office of an international law firm in 2010. He also served as Research Editor on the Executive Board of the Duke Environmental Law and Policy Forum.
