Overview

Emily DeBow focuses her practice on protecting intellectual property from online infringement. Her practice utilizes traditional intellectual property law, Internet law, and anti-cybersquatting law (including through ICANN’s domain name dispute resolution policy) to enforce copyright, trademark, trade dress, domain name, trade secret, and right of publicity rights.

Prior to joining the firm, Emily was in-house intellectual property counsel for a television production studio where she was responsible for the clearance, prosecution, and enforcement of domestic and international trademark and copyright portfolios, registration of applicable assets with U.S. customs officials to seize counterfeit goods at the borders, resolution of online and brick and mortar intellectual property infringements, drafting and negotiation of merchandising and music licensing agreements, and advising on intellectual property clearance issues related to the production of unscripted television and licensing of digital images.
