Overview

Josiah Alter provides guidance to clients on the prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement of their global trademark portfolios.

Prior to joining the firm, Josiah was an intellectual property associate of a law firm based in the western U.S. where he focused his practice on trademark, copyright, and data privacy disputes.

While attending Gonzaga University School of Law, he served as Associate Editor of the Gonzaga Law Review. Josiah was a member of the 2019-2021 Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court Team and received the Dolores K. Hanna Best Brief Award in 2021 as winner of the National First Place Appellate Brief. He also won First Place Overall, First Place Oral Argument, and First Place Appellate Brief in the 2021 San Francisco Regionals.

While attending Saint Mary’s College of California, Josiah was a cloud software marketing intern at a global leader in AI networking, cloud, and connected security in San Francisco, California and a business analyst intern at a multi-national technology corporation in San Jose, California.
