Insights: News Maeghan Whitehead Joins Kilpatrick Townsend in Dallas
Seasoned Litigator Brings 12+ Years of Experience to Firm
DALLAS (September 7) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Maeghan Whitehead will be joining the firm’s Dallas office as Counsel and will be a member of the firm’s prominent Complex Commercial Litigation Team. She joins the firm from Griffith Barbee PLLC.
Ms. Whitehead counsels businesses and individuals in complex commercial and intellectual property disputes. She represents clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to entrepreneurs across a wide variety of industries and has litigated cases in numerous federal and state courts. Ms. Whitehead brings more than 12 years of litigation experience to the firm. Early in her career, she practiced extensively in the patent infringement litigation arena.
Ms. Whitehead recently briefed and presented oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit as well as appellate courts throughout Texas. In recent months, she has had two jury trials in federal district courts and one bench trial in Texas state court.
Ms. Whitehead is deeply involved with the legal community and is a lead chair of Attorneys Serving the Community, which is an organization that brings women lawyers together to utilize their resources and support local non-profit organizations whose programs aid women, children, and families. She is also a current XIX Society member, affiliated with the Texas Women’s Foundation.

Receiving her B.A. in English and B.S. in Communication Studies, Ms. Whitehead graduated with honors at the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her J.D. from Tulane University. In 2021, she was awarded by D Magazine for ‘Best Lawyers’ in Dallas, and in 2022, she was awarded ‘Best Lawyers Under 40.’
