ATLANTA (August 22) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton was named 2022 Law Firm of the Year at the American Lawyer’s Daily Report’s “Georgia Legal Awards,” a 2022 Georgia Powerhouse by Law360, and received multiple Top-Listed State Awards, Top-Listed City Awards, and had 12 Georgia-based Lawyers of the Year named by Best Lawyers for The Best Lawyers in America (2023 Edition). These recognitions exemplify the firm’s nearly 150-year impact on and deep-rooted presence in the Peach State.
At the American Lawyer’s Daily Report annual ceremony, Kilpatrick Townsend took home the highly coveted Law Firm of the Year distinction. This award “recognizes the Georgia firm that has demonstrated a broad spectrum of achievements in the past year and depth of talent.” To win this award, the firm had to provide the “best and most meritorious submissions across multiple categories,” including the winning submissions of Michael Tyler: “Lifetime Achiever, Wab Kadaba: “Distinguished Leader”, and Eric Charity: “On the Rise.” The firm also had nominations for “Legal Innovator” and for “Best Mentor” which both played a role in winning Law Firm of the Year.
Considering the firm’s dedication to staying on the cutting edge with local experience, clients, and talent, Law360 named Kilpatrick Townsend a 2022 Georgia Powerhouse. Since 1874, making it the longest-standing Georgia-based firm of the 2022 Georgia Powerhouse firms, Kilpatrick Townsend has committed to developing attorneys to exceed expectations of increased client needs.
Kilpatrick Townsend Chair and CEO J. Henry Walker IV said, "You've got to bring it every day. We've got to continue to learn and grow and do great work and build strong relationships with our clients."
Once again, Kilpatrick Townsend received notable acclaim as a Top-Listed firm by Best Lawyers for the 2023 edition of the Best Lawyers in America.
