Jennifer Waitman Brings 25 Years of Experience to Firm
NEW YORK (March 14) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Jennifer R. Waitman has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner on its internationally recognized Trademark, Copyright & Advertising Team. She joins from Abelman, Frayne & Schwab.
Ms. Waitman brings over 25 of extensive experience concentrating on international trademark prosecution in over 180 jurisdictions, including China. She represents clients on matters involving trademark prosecution, litigation, cancellation and opposition procedures, counterfeit goods prosecution, and the management of trademark portfolios. In Ms. Waitman’s career, she has obtained a groundbreaking award of an E.U. trademark registration, has regularly negotiated world-wide co-existence, settlement, and assignment agreements, and prepared and managed a variety of disputes including litigation to resolve infringement disputes, and analysis of trademark clearance reports.

Ms. Waitman has achieved successful results for some of the largest brands and content owners, including clients with goods in the automotive, apparel, toys, trinkets, periodical publications, beauty, alcoholic beverages, and food sectors. She counsels clients on global branding initiatives to select and clear new trademarks, advises on global licensing programs, and polices online trademark infringements and prosecutes domain name actions.

Ms. Waitman earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She has a B.S./B.A. in Business Administration and Management with a Marketing Concentration from Boston University School of Management. Ms. Waitman is fluent in Hebrew.
