Evan Nadel Joins as Partner
Firm Continues Recent Expansion of Complex Commercial Litigation Team
NEW YORK/SAN FRANCISCO (November 1) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Evan Nadel will be joining the firm as a partner and working from the New York and San Francisco offices as a member of the nationally recognized Complex Commercial Litigation Team. Mr. Nadel will be Co-Chair of Kilpatrick Townsend’s Class Action Practice Group. He joins the firm from Mintz where he was Co-Chair of the Class Action Practice Group.
Mr. Nadel focuses his practice on disputes related to technology and manages a full gamut of class action cases. His work on technology-related and business disputes encompasses false advertising/unfair competition, trademark, licensing, privacy, and contract matters. Mr. Nadel has 25+ years of in-depth experience defending clients facing putative class actions around false advertising and product liability, including cases with California unfair competition and consumer protection law claims. He has represented clients in appeals in both state and federal courts. Mr. Nadel also has extensive experience in insurance coverage, contribution, and indemnification actions.
“I am excited to welcome Evan to the firm,” said Steve Hudson, Kilpatrick Townsend Litigation Department Chair. “He fits perfectly into the firm’s strategy of meeting the expanding needs of clients in the areas of class action, technology-focused litigation including data security/data breach litigation.”
“Kilpatrick Townsend is well-known for serving premier technology companies and organizations,” said Evan Nadel. “And the firm’s position of housing a leading class action practice and one of world’s top intellectual property departments drew me to Kilpatrick Townsend. I look forward to meeting the firm’s clients and my new colleagues across its 20 offices.”
Mr. Nadel, who is a frequent speaker at legal industry events, received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. from New York University School of Law. After law school, he clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York.
“Evan’s outstanding reputation and history of client successes will enhance an already strong team,” added Tom Clyde, Kilpatrick Townsend Complex Commercial Litigation Team Co-Chair. “Adding an experienced, first-chair litigator will benefit existing and prospective clients in both the New York and California markets.”
This addition continues a recent expansion of the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation Team. Earlier this month, Kilpatrick Townsend welcomed Michele Floyd, a partner, and Sam Hyams, an associate, to its San Francisco office.
