Five Attorneys Join Firm

ATLANTA, GA (December 28) Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that five attorneys recently joined the firm’s internationally-recognized Trademark and Copyright team. This expansion follows the recent addition of Rose Kautz, Joseph Daniels-Salamanca, and Victoria Ellis this summer. 

  • Caroline Carroll joins as an Associate in New York. She focuses her practice on trademark and copyright law, with expertise in video game development, publishing, esports, merchandising, brand protection, and music licensing. Ms. Carroll earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. She received her B.A. in Sociology, Criminal Concentration, Minor in Studio Art and Psychology, cum laude, from University of Massachusetts Amherst.
  • Daniel Gaitan joins as an Associate in Los Angeles. He is a litigator with a focus on intellectual property and technology matters. He counsels clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, fashion, financial, retail, cannabis, and entertainment. Mr. Gaitan earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He received his LL.M. with high honors, from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from University of La Verne.
  • Minar “Minnie” Kim joins as an Associate in Winston-Salem. She is a litigator and registered patent attorney with extensive experience in intellectual property litigation across a broad range of industries, but focuses her practice now on trademark matters. Beyond litigation, Minnie’s trademark experience is extensive and she is adept at advising clients on and developing strategies for portfolio management, domain name acquisitions, and trademark enforcement. Ms. Kim earned her J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. She received her B.S. in Biology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
  • Jeffrey “Jeff” Larson joins as an Associate in Denver. He focuses his practice on domestic and international trademark clearance, prosecution, management, and enforcement issues including global registration and enforcement strategies. Prior to private practice, Mr. Larson was Brand Counsel in the Connecticut corporate headquarters of a global conglomerate. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and received his B.A. in Business Management and Operations from Washington State University.
  • Michelle Wilco joins as an Associate in Atlanta. She focuses her practice on international and domestic trademark prosecution and enforcement as well as U.S. trademark disputes and oppositions before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and advertising matters. She represents clients in a variety of industries, including hospitality, travel, food, restaurant and beverage, retail and consumer goods, technology, apparel, and entertainment. Ms. Wilco earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law. She received her B.A. in Print and Online Journalism from Elon University.
