ATLANTA (July 31)Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Counsel Kathleen “Katie” Barton was recently appointed to the Partnership Against Domestic Violence’s (PADV) Board of Directors.

PADV works to end the crime of intimate partner violence and empower its survivors. For 40 years, PADV, the largest nonprofit domestic violence organization in Georgia, has provided professional, compassionate and empowering support to battered women and their children in metro Atlanta. PADV works to end domestic violence by: offering safety and shelter for battered women and their children; restoring power, self-sufficiency and control to domestic violence survivors; and educating the public on the dynamics of domestic violence.

Ms. Barton focuses her practice on labor and employment litigation and counseling. Ms. Barton's experience includes successfully representing management in employment litigation under Title VII, the FLSA, the ADEA, the ADA, the FMLA, and the California Labor Code, and before the EEOC and state civil rights agencies. Ms. Barton also litigates and counsels clients on restrictive covenants, non-compete agreements, and non-solicitation agreements.
