Insights: News Releases Kilpatrick Townsend Adds Brittany Knutson to Firm’s Washington, DC Office

WASHINGTON, DC (April 25) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Brittany Knutson to the firm’s Washington, DC office. Ms. Knutson joins the firm as an associate on the Trademark and Copyright Team in the firm’s internationally recognized Intellectual Property Department.

Ms. Knutson focuses her practice on trademark and copyright law. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an associate for an intellectual property boutique law firm in Washington, DC, where she worked on trademark prosecution, enforcement, and counseling matters and also handled TTAB and federal district court litigation. Previously, Ms. Knutson gained experience in intellectual property law during two trademark internships in Washington, DC area law firms.

Ms. Knutson earned her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, magna cum laude. While attending law school she served as a Senior Editor of the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law. Ms. Knutson served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Gerald Bruce Lee in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. She also served as a student attorney for DC Law Students in Court in Washington, DC and as a legal intern in the Alexandria Public Defender Office in Alexandria, Virginia.

Ms. Knutson earned her B.A. in English from Augustana College. Prior to attending law school, she built a successful career in higher education and was the Director of Admissions at Globe University in Madison, Wisconsin.
