Insights: Events Street Art: The New Legal Landscape

Beverly Hills Bar Association CLE

The rising popularity of street art, murals, outdoor art installations, and graffiti in urban centers has raised numerous legal disputes. This panel will explore how artists have sought to maintain control over their work and enforce their moral and intellectual property rights. Panelists, including Brittany Elias, will discuss the Visual Artists Rights Act, the conflict of laws presented by unauthorized street art, and recent graffiti-related copyright disputes, including cases of unlicensed replication in the fashion and music industries.
