Overview

Alex Borovsky focuses his practice on data privacy, cybersecurity, information technology, business outsourcing agreements, systems integration, software as a service (SaaS) transactions, technology licensing, and other technology and commercial transactions. In particular, Alex assists clients in understanding and complying with obligations under GDPR, CCPA, and other international and U.S. privacy laws.

Prior to joining the firm, Alex served as a Legal Fellow in the Kinship Care Project at Atlanta Legal Aid Society where he provided legal services to low-income individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While attending Emory University School of Law, Alex worked with the firm as a summer associate in 2019. He served as a legal intern and extern at a leading producer and recycler of aluminum products in Atlanta, Georgia where he assisted with developing the company’s data privacy program and various corporate matters, including the $2.6 billion acquisition of a competitor. Alex was a research assistant for Professors Kamina Pinder and Shlomo Pill and a policy and legislative intern at the Barton Child Law and Policy Center. He was also a Managing Editor of the Emory Law Journal.

While attending the University of Georgia, Alex worked as an IT project coordinator intern at a multinational beverage company and a foundation intern at a network of hospitals and medical facilities in Atlanta, Georgia. He also studied business sustainability abroad in Australia and New Zealand.
