John Moye, a technology attorney at Kilpatrick Townsend, and Larry Ponemon, Chair of the Ponemon Institute, joined Audra Dial, Corporate Espionage partner at Kilpatrick Townsend for our continuing Corporate Espionage webinar series. Mr. Moye and Mr. Ponemon discussed the growing risks posed by employees using mobile devices in the workplace and provided best practices to prevent the loss of information through mobile devices.

Mr. Ponemon, whose Ponemon Institute is a thought leader in field of data security and privacy, provided an overview of his institution’s January 2015 survey, “The Security Impact of Mobile Device Use by Employees,” summarizing how employees in the workplace view the use of mobile devices and the potential risks to corporate information created by such use.

Mr. Moye provided a range of "practice pointers" for companies looking to protect their most valuable intellectual property in light of the growing use of mobile devices in the workplace.
