Insights: News Nine Kilpatrick Townsend Attorneys Recognized on the 2021 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll
WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 9, 2022) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that nine attorneys in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office received recognition on the 2021 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll. The honor is awarded by D.C. Courts, in partnership with the D.C. Access to Justice Commission and the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center.
Since 2011, the D.C. Courts have recognized attorneys who have contributed 50 hours or more of pro bono work to those who cannot afford legal counsel. Recently, this pro bono representation has become even more important as thousands of District of Columbia residents confront the stresses of reduced income and new legal challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic and recovery.
Two attorneys received High Honor Roll recognition for contributing more than 100 hours of pro bono services.
Stephen Anstey is a member of Kilpatrick Townsend’s Government and Regulatory practice and Native American Affairs team.
Suzanne Walker focuses her practice on matters relating to employee benefits and executive compensation for public and private companies.
Seven other members of the D.C. office were recognized for contributing 50 hours or more of pro bono services:
Matt Chung is a patent attorney and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Team.
Steve Donahoe concentrates his practice on corporate and securities matters, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory matters for financial institutions.
Christina Fahmy focuses her practice on private antitrust litigation, government investigations, and antitrust counseling.
Kerry Hartman is a patent attorney who concentrates his practice on preparation and prosecution of patent applications, primarily in the areas of electronics and software.
Brittany Knutson focuses in intellectual properly litigation, including trademark, unfair competition, false advertising, and internet disputes
Ed Olifer is the Managing Partner of the firm's Washington, D.C. office, and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He concentrates his practice on corporate governance, SEC disclosure compliance, merger and acquisition, and capital formation transactions.
