Insights: News Kilpatrick Townsend Attorneys Named 2020 Rising Stars by Southern California Super Lawyers
LOS ANGELES (September 14) -- Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that two attorneys from the firm’s Los Angeles office were selected as 2020 Rising Stars by Southern California Super Lawyers. Partner Kollin Zimmermann was named in the Intellectual Property Litigation category and Associate Brittany Kandela was recognized in the Intellectual Property category.
The Super Lawyers distinction honors attorneys who attain a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement as some of the region’s pre-eminent lawyers. Super Lawyers is a rating service of lawyers from more than 70 practice areas. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations, all of which result in a comprehensive and diverse listing of the top five percent of attorneys in each state.
- Brittany Kandela focuses her practice on trademark portfolio and conflict management. Brittany advises on issues relating to complex international trademark clearance and prosecution, foreign and domestic disputes, brand protection and litigation matters. She also counsels clients on a wide range of domestic enforcement issues, including both offensive and defensive disputes, and proceedings before the TTAB. Brittany has been recognized by Super Lawyers since 2017.
- Kollin Zimmermann is a litigator with a focus on intellectual property and technology issues. Kollin regularly represents some of the world’s leading technology, entertainment, social media, and Internet companies in federal and state courts across the country. His cases typically involve trademark, copyright, breach of contract, fraud, right of publicity, trade secret, and unfair competition claims. He has been lead or co-lead counsel in numerous high-stakes cases involving preliminary injunction motions and potential damages in the millions or hundreds of millions of dollars. He also provides strategic counseling to clients regarding pre-litigation disputes, global enforcement programs, and other internet-based intellectual property issues. Kollin was first recognized by Super Lawyers in 2015 and has been recognized every year since 2017.
