Leo Wen is a registered patent attorney who focuses his practice on patent preparation, prosecution, and counseling and assists technology companies in protecting their most valuable intangibles. With his robust technology background and global perspective, Leo uses his prior work experience in the U.S. and China to create robust patent strategies and further client goals. He has drafted and/or prosecuted hundreds of patent applications and has served many Fortune 500 clients and leading companies in niche markets.
Leo’s patent preparation and prosecution experience span a broad spectrum of technologies, including semiconductors, quantum computing, 5G telecommunication, Wi-Fi, generators, analytical instrumentation, cable installation systems, mechanics, autonomous cars, software, machine learning, streaming services, business methods, and the like.
Prior to joining the firm, Leo was an associate in the Atlanta, Georgia office of a national law firm. His practice concentrated on patent preparation and prosecution as well as providing legal opinions on infringement, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate. Leo also served as a patent engineer for the largest IP law firm in China, where he prepared or prosecuted 180+ patent applications.
Beyond his practice, Leo founded PT Intellectual (Peking University/Tsinghua University IP Club) in Shanghai, China, an organization that connects elite intellectual property practitioners such as IP attorneys, in-house counsels, judges, and scholars in China.
