Yuxuan (Royce) Wang is a registered Chinese lawyer and patent attorney who focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling in the mechanics, automotive, computer, software and electronics industries. Mr. Wang has experience in developing patent filing strategies, preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, providing opinions on patentability, validity, or infringement with respect to intellectual property rights, conducting due diligence investigations, performing post-grant actions, providing litigation support, and other like services.
Mr. Wang worked as a law clerk with the firm in its San Francisco, California office before becoming a patent attorney in its Shanghai, China office. While working as a law clerk, Mr. Wang passed the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) patent bar examination.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Wang worked as intellectual property lawyer and partner for over ten years in several leading Chinese intellectual property law firms and he gained significant experience with domestic and international clients in connection with patent prosecution, intellectual property litigation, and intellectual property transactions. Mr. Wang has successfully represented clients in hundreds of intellectual property litigation cases and served as lead counsel on two cases listed in the Top 50 Most Influential IP Cases of 2008 by the Chinese Supreme Court. Mr. Wang also worked as a Patent Licensing Consultant for Via Licensing Corporation in San Francisco, California where he implemented and enforced license agreements, evaluated patent portfolios, and conducted legal research and patent analysis for one of the leading patent pool licensing companies in the world.
Prior to launching his legal career, Mr. Wang spent six years working as an automotive engineer in China.
While attending the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, Mr. Wang was a member of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal and the Berkeley Business Law Journal.
Mr. Wang’s native language is Mandarin Chinese.
