Overview

Jennifer Waitman focuses her practice on international trademark portfolio management and prosecution, international trademark litigation, international trademark cancellation and opposition procedures, counterfeit goods raids and prosecution, worldwide trademark clearance, trademark agreements, domain name disputes, and opinions and counseling. She also has extensive experience with trademark conflicts in China. Jennifer has achieved successful results for some of the largest brands and content owners, including clients with goods in the automotive, apparel, toys, trinkets, periodical publications, beauty, alcoholic beverages, and food sectors.

Prior to joining the firm, Jennifer was a partner at an intellectual property law firm based in New York City where she was responsible for international trademark services in 180+ jurisdictions, including trademark prosecution, clearance, litigation, oppositions, cancellations, and anti-counterfeiting programs. Previously, Jennifer was a trademark counsel in the New York City office of an international law firm where she was responsible for worldwide trademark registration programs.

Jennifer is fluent in Hebrew.

*Represented one of the “Big Three” automotive manufacturers in obtaining an EU registration for its famous brand grille design in an unprecedented decision which recognized the design as sufficiently distinctive.
