Overview

Callie Thomas focuses her practice on internal investigations and white collar crime.

Prior to joining the firm, Callie was a law clerk for the Honorable Robert E. Wier in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky where she assisted Judge Wier in a variety of criminal and civil matters. Previously, Callie served as a Legal Fellow in the Office of the Public Defender in Arlington, Virginia.

While attending law school, Callie represented clients in the Duke Wrongful Convictions Clinic. She also served as a legal intern with the Federal Defender Program in Chicago, Illinois and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in Washington, D.C. Callie was a research assistant for Professors Lisa Griffin and Brandon Garrett. She was Editor-in-Chief of the Duke Journal of Comparative & International Law and founded the Duke Criminal Law Society.

Before attending law school, Callie worked as a staff associate for a public accounting firm based in Houston, Texas, specializing in the accounting, audit, and forensic needs of small and medium sized businesses. Previously, Callie served as an Americorps Volunteer with College Forward in Houston.

Callie is proficient in Spanish.
