Ashleigh Stochel focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation including appellate practice, contract disputes, business tort litigation, and labor and employment disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Ashleigh was an associate in the Chicago, Illinois office of a well-established litigation law firm where she concentrated her practice on commercial litigation, appellate litigation, bankruptcy and creditors rights, corporate law, and labor and employment law. Previously, Ashleigh worked as an Export Compliance Manager for an electronics and technology exporter where she navigated licensing regimes under the U.S. Department of Commerce, State Department, Department of Energy, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Before attending law school, Ashleigh pursued both a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in acting. With this background, she has a skillset and confidence that is unique to the field of law. Ashleigh’s classical training translates naturally to the world of litigation, and she has a talent for oral arguments and trial work. Ashleigh keeps up with her acting career through teaching, volunteering, and mentoring young actors through several organizations. She is additionally involved in other socially-responsible organizations such as the Lesbian & Gay Bar Association of Chicago.
