Jake Risener focuses his practice on bankruptcy and insolvency matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Jake served as a law clerk for the Honorable Mary F. Walrath in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
While attending law school, Jake served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Sage M. Sigler in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia, a judicial intern for the Honorable Jeffery W. Cavender in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and a legal extern in the United States Trustee Program of the U.S. Department of Justice. He is a recipient of the Emory Transactional Law and Skills Certificate and was a participant in the TI:GER® Program, a collaboration between Emory University School of Law and Georgia Institute of Technology that focuses on technology commercialization in a multidisciplinary context. Jake also served as Executive Symposium Editor for Volume 35 of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal.
