Overview

Jake Plovanic is a registered patent attorney who focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling primarily in the areas of electronics and software.

While attending law school, Jake was Executive Articles Editor of the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts. He worked with the firm as a summer associate in 2019, prosecuting patents in optics, augmented reality devices, and smart-home systems.

Prior to attending law school, Jake was a Senior Engineer at a maker of solid-fuel propulsion systems for commercial, defense, and civil government launch systems near Salt Lake City, Utah. He performed hazards analysis reviews and risk assessments of energetic material processes as the leader of a team of engineers, safety professionals, and operations personnel.
