Ms. Patel focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Patel was a law clerk for the Honorable Gregory P. McGuire in the North Carolina Business Court where she analyzed legal instruments, reviewed contracts and documents, conducted legal research, drafted judicial opinions on complex commercial and business matters, and observed bench trials and hearings.
While attending law school, Ms. Patel served as a legal intern in the Appellate Section of the Office of Immigration Litigation in the U.S. Department of Justice and as a judicial intern for Chief Judge Frank D. Whitney in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
While attending the University of North Carolina, Ms. Patel studied abroad at the University College London in the United Kingdom during the fall of 2013.
Ms. Patel is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi and is conversational in Arabic.
