Overview

Whitney Pakalka focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Whitney served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Michael L. Robinson in the North Carolina Business Court where she conducted research, attended hearings, drafted orders and opinions, and communicated with counsel regarding case administration.

While attending Wake Forest University School of Law, Whitney was a judicial intern to the Honorable Catherine C. Eagles in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. Also while attending law school, Whitney served as Executive Editor of the Wake Forest Law Review, a Career and Professional Development teaching assistant, a research assistant for Professor Wilson Parker, and a participant in the Innocence and Justice Clinic. In May 2017, Whitney received the I. Beverly Lake Award for greatest proficiency in the study of constitutional law and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice Most Outstanding Advocate Award.

Prior to attending the University of Colorado, Whitney studied abroad at the University of Granada in Granada, Spain in June 2004.

Whitney was recognized as a North Carolina "Rising Star" in 2022 and 2023 for Business Litigation by Super Lawyers magazine. She was named as one of Business North Carolina magazine's “Young Guns” in 2022.

Whitney has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
