Neema Mohammadizad focuses his practice on domestic and international trademark counseling, portfolio management, clearance, enforcement matters, as well as U.S. trademark disputes and oppositions before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Neema’s practice involves protecting some of the world’s largest brands and creative works against all types of copyright and trademark infringement, including counterfeiting, gray market, infringement, phishing, cybersquatting, false advertisement, and piracy, through non-litigation enforcement efforts, litigation, and through ICANN’s domain name dispute resolution policy. Neema represents a wide range of clients, from entrepreneurs to some of the most well-known Fortune 100 and 500 companies in a variety of industries, including sports, financial services, food, restaurant and beverage, retail and consumer goods, media and entertainment, and technology.
Neema graduated first in his law school class and received numerous awards and scholarships for his work including the International Trademark Association (INTA) Leadership, Diversity, and Inclusion Award, the B.T. Collins Memorial Scholarship, as well as being selected as a Rivello Scholar. He was a member of the National Advisory Committee of Equal Justice Works where he provided leadership, advice, and outreach assistance in mobilizing the next generation of public interest attorneys. Neema also served as an intern in both the East Bay Community Law Center as well as the Katharine & George Alexander Community Law Center, where he provided legal services and representation to low-income consumers facing a variety of legal issues. Neema continues to work extensively with numerous pro bono clients and was selected as the 2021 Kilpatrick Townsend Pro Bono Associate of the Year.
Prior to launching his legal career, Neema served as the Political Action Committee Chairman for a nonprofit organization.
Neema is fluent in Farsi.
