While attending Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Ashleigh worked with the firm as a summer associate in 2020 and 2021. She served as a legal intern in the Opal Mitchell Lee Property Preservation Clinic in Houston, Texas. As a participant in the Law in Technology Diversity Collaborative, Ashleigh served as a legal intern for a major technology company that manufactures action cameras during the summer of 2020. She was Associate Editor and then Senior Editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review. Ashleigh also served as a commercial and property law tutor.

For seven years and prior to launching her legal career, Ashleigh was a professional basketball player in the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) where she led several teams abroad to the playoffs every season and received “Guard of the Year” and “Defensive Player of the Year” Awards.

While attending the University of Texas at Austin, Ashleigh was a member (2008-2012) and Team Captain (2010-2012) of the Lady Longhorns Women’s Basketball Team where she was listed on the Big 12 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for outstanding achievement and named to ESPN The Magazine’s Academic All-District 6 First Team.
