Partner Nathan Maki Joins Firm’s Growing Seattle Office
SEATTLE (JUNE 23) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Nathan “Nate” Maki is joining the firm as a partner with the Seattle office. Mr. Maki will be a member of the firm’s Electrical Engineering & Software Team in the firm’s internationally recognized Intellectual Property Department. Prior to Kilpatrick Townsend, he practiced with a large law firm based in the Pacific Northwest.
“Nate has developed a high-level skill set in nearly two decades of helping technology companies maximize protection of their intellectual assets,” said Rob Roy Smith, Seattle Office Managing Partner. “His significant expertise in 5G wireless technology is an area where we are seeing robust innovation and very high demand. Mr. Maki is a registered patent attorney who works closely with technology companies to develop and execute global patent strategies that maximize protection of their valuable intellectual property assets. He has drafted and successfully prosecuted patent applications related to cellular networks, radio-frequency front-end solutions, volatile and non-volatile storage devices, platform and resource virtualization, clean technologies, storage networks, and optical systems. Mr. Maki brings his vast experience to assist clients with their complex technologies and help communicate their innovative concepts in patent applications and prosecutions.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Maki worked in the Patent and Licensing Group of a multinational technology corporation where he was involved in offensive and defensive licensing and patent prosecution.
Mr. Maki earned his J.D. from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College and his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri.
