Insights: News Megan Chung Named to Lawyers of Color's Power List 2020

SAN DIEGO (January 29) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Megan Chung, Managing Partner of the firm’s San Diego office, was named to Lawyers of Color’s Power List 2020, an annual list of the nation’s most influential minority attorneys and allies. Honorees will be profiled in the Lawyers of Color Power Issue, and will be celebrated at a reception in Washington, D.C. on February 26.

Established in 2008 to report important news to Black legal professionals, Lawyers of Color is now a media and research company that focuses on all lawyers of color. The annual Power List historically has been comprised of general counsel, law school deans, justice foundation leaders, law firm managing partners, and practice group leaders. The Power List is the only comprehensive list of minority leaders in the legal profession.

Ms. Chung heads the firm’s patent litigation team in San Diego, and is the first Asian American woman to lead a Kilpatrick Townsend office. She focuses her practice on complex and technical intellectual property litigation. Ms. Chung has extensive experience representing companies and executives on intellectual property and technology-related matters, focusing on patent, copyright, trade secret and trademark litigation, and post-grant proceedings.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Chung actively contributes to Kilpatrick Townsend’s pro bono program that provides representation for women immigrants seeking asylum in the United States.

Ms. Chung is a graduate of Stanford University, and earned her law degree at the University of California, Davis School of Law.
