Insights: News Kilpatrick Townsend Grows its Trademark and Copyright Team in Winston-Salem
WINSTON-SALEM (September 16) – Kilpatrick Townsend announced today the addition of Tiffani Otey as an associate in the firm’s Winston-Salem office. She joins the Trademark and Copyright Team in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department.
Ms. Otey focuses her practice on trademark and copyright. Her experience includes all aspects of trademark protection, from selection of an available trademark, to protection of the mark under the applicable federal and common laws, to enforcement of that mark against infringements and unauthorized uses. She also assists clients with domain name disputes including retrieving domain names from cyber-squatters through application of the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy and other similar policies. She has practiced before the United States Trademark Office and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Otey was an intellectual property associate in the Winston-Salem office of a transatlantic law firm where she practiced in the Intellectual Property, Data and Technology service group of its Trademark team.
Ms. Otey earned her J.D., cum laude, from Wake Forest University. She received a B.A. in Sociology and Communications from the University of Maryland.
