SEATTLE (June 7) Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that it has named Rob Roy Smith Managing Partner of the firm’s Seattle office. He succeeds Roger Wylie who was recently appointed as Kilpatrick Townsend’s firmwide Managing Partner

“I’m honored and grateful for this opportunity," said Rob Roy Smith. "I'm excited to follow Roger's lead and the successful growth of our Seattle office. We have an incredibly talented team and I look forward to working closely with them and management to make sure we continue delivering exceptional service to our clients.”

Rob Roy Smith has been an integral part of the Seattle office since joining as a partner in 2012. He exclusively practices federal Indian law and advises Indian tribal clients on all aspects of federal, state and tribal law, including tribal sovereignty, economic development, natural and cultural resource protection, taxation, and gaming. Mr. Smith will continue in his role as a co-team leader of the firm’s Native American Affairs Team. 

Mr. Smith earned his J.D., cum laude, from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College. He received his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross.
