RALEIGH (March 7) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that it has named Ford Robertson Managing Partner of the firm’s Raleigh, North Carolina office. Mr. Robertson will also serve as the new team leader of the firm’s Real Estate Investment and Development Team.
“I am privileged to serve as the new Managing Partner of our Raleigh office,” said Ford Robertson. “It is an honor to follow in Gary Joyner’s footsteps. Gary was the reason I came to the firm nearly 13 years ago, and was everything I strive to be as a lawyer, counselor, servant-leader, and person. I am excited to lead an incredible team of attorneys and staff in our Raleigh office, who are well positioned to continue providing high-quality service to support our clients’ needs and help them achieve success.”
Mr. Robertson practices in virtually all aspects of commercial real estate, with a focus on real estate development, investment and leasing, including industrial, retail and office leasing, sale/leaseback transactions, condominium and mixed-use developments, joint venture formation, tax-free exchanges and financing of commercial properties nationwide.
Mr. Robertson is actively involved with various civic and professional organizations in Raleigh, including the Boys and Girls Club of Wake County, Communities in Schools of Wake County, NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association) and the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Robertson was listed in the 2014, 2015, and 2016 editions of Chambers USA in the area of Real Estate. He was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for Real Estate Law in 2016 and 2017, and was named a 2016 and 2017 “Legal Elite” in Real Estate by Business North Carolina Magazine.
Mr. Robertson earned his J.D. from the Wake Forest University School of Law, magna cum laud, Order of the Coif, and his B.A. from the University of Virginia.
