Insights: News Releases Kilpatrick Townsend’s Adria Perez Named One of Georgia Trend’s 40 Under 40
ATLANTA (October 9) -- Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Partner Adria Perez was named one of Georgia Trend’s 40 Under 40 for 2017.
Now in its 21st year, Georgia Trend’s 40 Under 40 represent the state’s best and brightest in business, government, politics, nonprofits, science, healthcare, and education. The honorees were chosen from nominations made by readers throughout the state and final selections were made by the Georgia Trend editorial staff.
Ms. Perez was recognized for being the driving force behind the firm’s Latin America practice, coordinating diverse teams across the U.S. to help clients with Latin American interests. She was also honored for volunteering her legal skills. Ms. Perez is past-president and a board member of ToolBank USA, which rents tools like hammers and ladders to nonprofits to help equip their own volunteers. In 2015, she co-founded the Georgia Latino Law Foundation to help Latino students gain career opportunities and internships.
Ms. Perez focuses her practice on representing both corporations and individuals in white collar criminal defense matters, government enforcement issues, as well as internal, criminal and SEC investigations. Her experience includes handling issues relating to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, False Claims Act (including government contracting, healthcare and tax matters), Civil Investigative Demands and export enforcement. Ms. Perez assists clients in responding to inquiries from and government investigations conducted by the DOJ, SEC, OCC and Office of Inspector General from a variety of federal agencies. She also counsels clients on developing and strengthening compliance programs and policies.
