WASHINGTON, DC (May 24) -- Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that partner Helen K. Michael served as a panelist at the 2016 American College of Coverage & Extracontractual Counsel (ACCEC) Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois on May 6. Ms. Michael is a member of ACCEC.

Ms. Michael joined industry leaders in the panel “Cyber Liability.” The session examined the development of insurance coverage for cyber liability which included an analysis of case law under general liability, cyber endorsements and cyber policies. The panel also discussed the coverage provided by the new cyber insurance policies for emerging cyber liabilities.

Ms. Michael, Co-Leader of the firm’s Insurance Recovery Team, concentrates her practice in complex commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on insurance coverage disputes. She has handled high-stakes cases in all key of coverage areas, including disputes involving mass tort and products liability claims, environmental claims, violation of consumer protection statutes and other allegedly unfair trade practices, intellectual property claims, construction defect claims, employment practices liability claims, securities violations and numerous other errors and omissions liability and directors and officers liability claims.
