Insights: News Releases Kilpatrick Townsend’s Miles Alexander and Joe Beck Honored for Their Contributions to the Civil Rights Movement
ATLANTA (June 15) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that attorneys Miles Alexander and Joe Beck were recently honored by the State Bar of Georgia and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights for their roles in the Civil Rights Movement and integration efforts in Georgia.
Mr. Alexander and Mr. Beck were honored with more than 120 Georgia lawyers who were engaged at some level in the Civil Rights Movement and integration efforts – from grass roots support of the protesters in the demonstrations, to trying cases, to support for emerging African-American leaders and politicians. Honorees were recognized on Wednesday, June 3, at the “Celebration of Civil Rights Milestones,” at the State Bar of Georgia.
