WINSTON-SALEM (May 6) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that attorney Leslie Grab was a recipient of the Triad Business Journal’s prestigious 2015 Women in Business Award. Honorees were celebrated at an awards luncheon on April 24, at the Greensboro-High Point Airport Marriott.

Dr. Grab was recognized for leveraging her background in science into an “exceptional intellectual property practice.” On any given day, she may be representing inventors or defending patents or working on strategic partnership with university licensing office. Dr. Grab was also recognized for simultaneously becoming a civic champion, providing nearly 570 hours of pro bono services at nearly $172,000.

Dr. Grab focuses her practice on patent prosecution, patent litigation and intellectual property transactional issues. She has experience in a wide range of technologies, including, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. Her practice includes comprehensive patent portfolio management in the biotechnology area. Dr. Grab also has expertise in the transactional aspects of intellectual property, including licensing, merger, acquisition and/or equity investment due diligence. She has also prepared and defended various ex parte and inter partes reexamination petitions, as well as inter partes review petitions on behalf of clients, including those involved in patent litigation matters.
