Insights: News Releases Managing Intellectual Property Once Again Ranks Kilpatrick Townsend as One of the Top Trademark Practices in the Nation
ATLANTA (March 4) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton once again received the highest possible rankings in the renowned 2015 Managing Intellectual Property (Managing IP) Trademark Survey. For the second consecutive year, Kilpatrick Townsend Trademark practice is ranked Tier One in both Trademark Prosecution and Trademark Contentious in the US National category.
The survey reviews the world's leading trademark firms for prosecution and contentious work and is the longest running analysis in the market.
A worldwide team of researchers contacted firms in more than 80 jurisdictions to rank firms in tiers. The total number of firms listed, as well as the number of tiers, varies from each market. The research is conducted rigorously and impartially. Firms cannot vote for their own inclusion or solicit votes from associates.
Moreover, the tables are not an exhaustive list of every firm in each jurisdiction; to be included at all, a firm must have received a large number of recommendations from peers and clients. Managing IP does not endorse or recommend any particular firm, and no firm has paid to be included in the tables.
Managing IP's recognition follows recent national distinction for Kilpatrick Townsend's Trademark and Copyright team, including:
- 2015 World Trademark Review National Tier 1 ranking;
- US News - Best Lawyers ® 2015 “Best Law Firms”: National Tier 1 ranking;
- 2015 Best Lawyers in America®: #1 ranking for number of Trademark attorneys listed; and
- Leading firm for Intellectual Property: Trademark, Copyright & Trade Secrets nationwide by the 2014 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business;
- Legal 500 2014 Trademark Litigation Firm of the Year for the United States.
