Helen Michael Serves as Program’s Chair
WASHINGTON, DC (March 6) -- Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that partners Helen K. Michael and Erica J. Dominitz served as a moderator and panelist, respectively, at the 23rd Annual Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee Midyear Program in Arizona in February. The program was hosted by the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association's Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS), of which Ms. Michael currently is the national Chair.
Ms. Michael presided over the Midyear Program, delivered the Program's welcome and closing remarks, and moderated the panel, "The Halliburton Decision: How the Supreme Court Changed the Landscape of Securities Litigation and D&O Insurance." Ms. Dominitz joined industry leaders as a panelist in the session, "Wind v. Water? The Answer My Friend is Blowing In the Wind (Or Soaking in the Flood)."
Ms. Michael, Co-Leader of the firm’s Insurance Recovery Team, concentrates her practice in complex commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on insurance coverage disputes. She has handled high-stakes cases in all key of coverage areas, including disputes involving mass tort and products liability claims, environmental claims, violation of consumer protection statutes and other allegedly unfair trade practices, intellectual property claims, construction defect claims, employment practices liability claims, securities violations and numerous other errors and omissions liability and directors and officers liability claims.
Ms. Dominitz focuses her practice on insurance coverage issues. She represents corporate policyholders in a wide range of insurance coverage matters, with a particular focus on claims concerning coverage for property damage and business interruption losses resulting from hurricanes, fires, explosions, and other causes. She also has substantial experience advising clients in connection with, litigating, and negotiating directors and officers liability claims, employment practices liability claims, and other types of liability claims.
