Insights: News Releases Kilpatrick Townsend’s Lisa Pearson a 2015 Client Choice Award Recipient
NEW YORK (February 27) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Lisa Pearson has been named the exclusive winner of the 2015 Client Choice Award for the state of New York in the area of Intellectual Property – Trademarks. Established in 2005, the Client Choice awards recognize partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service.
The Eleventh Annual Client Choice Awards are the result of an extensive readership survey of ILO and Lexology in-house counsel subscribers. Clients are asked to rate individual lawyers and law firms on a wide-range of client service criteria. The results of the survey are then used to create shortlists for each work area, and candidates are invited to submit up to five referees. The research team conducts follow-up interviews and additional research. While based on thorough and coherent research, the results remain the subjective views of the Client Choice team. This year’s winners were chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 individual client assessments.
Ms. Pearson is an experienced, versatile and creative litigator specializing in copyright, trademark, unfair competition and Internet-related disputes. She has successfully litigated scores of cases on behalf of such clients as American Eagle Outfitters, Coty, Clif Bar, Formula One Management, the Jim Henson Company, and many others.
Ms. Pearson has obtained excellent results for her clients in lawsuits across the country, in opposition and cancellation proceedings in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and in UDRP proceedings to recover domain names. She also counsels clients on intellectual property issues and has designed and implemented successful policing, enforcement, anti-dilution and anti-counterfeiting programs.
