Insights: News Pro Bono Mentoring Effect: High Impact Help For Clients

Washington Lawyer, November/December 2021

"Matt Chung just may have found his pro bono niche. After the successful outcome of his first pro bono bankruptcy case, the patent attorney at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP is eager to do more to help those saddled by crushing debt they have no ability to pay.

“When the opportunity came to volunteer with the [D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center’s] Bankruptcy Clinic, I jumped at it,” says Chung, who earned his JD from New York Law School in 2012. “I wasn’t familiar with the law itself, but I thought that maybe through this, I may be able to one day also help the community with student loan relief. I think this is where I can make an impact.”
