John Livingston is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Investment and Development Team and the firm’s Energy Team. He devotes his practice to sustainable development, including mixed-use projects, LEED certified projects, and renewable energy contracting. Mr. Livingston has experience representing lenders, buyers, sellers, developers, investors, owners, managers and others in all aspects of commercial real estate development, investment and leasing, and solar and biomass developers as well as commercial and industrial energy users.

Mr. Livingston was named a 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 North Carolina "Rising Star" in Real Estate Law by Super Lawyers magazine. He has been recognized as 2013, 2015 and 2016 "Legal Elite" by Business North Carolina magazine in the area of Real Estate. Mr. Livingston is also among the first attorneys in Raleigh to be designated a LEED Accredited Professional. He was selected to participate in the 28th class of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Raleigh.
