John Knapp focuses his practice on trademark, copyright and advertising litigation. Mr. Knapp represents and advises clients in the media, fashion, toy & game, consumer products, and other industries concerning the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights domestically, internationally, and online.
Mr. Knapp was named a Pro Bono Advocate by New York Lawyers for the Public Interest in 2007.
Mr. Knapp served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Carol B. Amon of the Eastern District of New York.
During law school, Mr. Knapp was the Editor-in-Chief of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law, a fellow of the Brooklyn Law School Center for the Study of International Business Law, was awarded First Prize at Brooklyn Law School in the 65th Annual Nathan Burkan Memorial Copyright Competition (ASCAP), the 2004 William Payson Richardson Memorial Prize, the 2004 Brooklyn Law School Public Service Award, and the 2003 Brooklyn Law School Pro Bono Award. He interned for the Honorable John Gleeson of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
