Gary Joyner is the Managing Partner of the firm's Raleigh office and practices in the areas of commercial real estate and commercial lending. Mr. Joyner regularly advises clients on mixed-use, retail and residential real estate and infrastructure development. He counsels clients in regards to real estate acquisitions, sales and development joint ventures. He regularly advises companies on corporate and economic incentives.

Mr. Joyner is a former member of the firm’s Executive Committee and a former chair of the firm's Real Estate team. He is a past Chair of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Joyner was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for Real Estate Law in 2013 and the six years immediately preceding. He is listed in the 2013 and the four years immediately preceding editions of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business for Real Estate Law and was named a North Carolina “Super Lawyer” for Real Estate by SuperLawyers magazine each year since 2006. He has also been honored in Business North Carolina magazine’s “Legal Elite” as one of North Carolina’s top real estate attorneys each year since 2004 and listed on three occasions to Business Leader's “Impact 100” list. Mr. Joyner received the Business Leader of the Year Award from Business Leader for large law firms in 2011.
