Rob Dailey focuses his practice on intellectual property law, especially in connection with life sciences, chemistry, materials science, and information technology. He has handled a broad range of transactional matters, including drafting and negotiating technology-focused agreements, developing intellectual property strategies to support product launches and licensing efforts, conducting intellectual property due diligence analyses and patent/trademark clearances, and drafting/prosecuting patent applications. Dr. Dailey has represented clients in a wide array of matters related to contentious and non-contentious aspects of patent law. His technical background is in physical chemistry and materials science. He has experience in the specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, electronic materials, and medical device industries.

Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Dailey was an intellectual property counsel at a leading biotechnology company in Illinois where he developed an extensive patent portfolio and drafted agreements concerning technology-related transactions. Previously, Dr. Dailey was an associate with Kilpatrick Townsend in Washington, D.C. where he handled a broad range of transactional and litigation matters related to intellectual property. He also previously served as in-house patent counsel for a venture-backed pharmaceutical company in North Carolina where he drafted applications for inventions related to drug compounds and compositions.
