Matthew Balun focuses his practice on strategic patent portfolio development, with an emphasis in the Electronics and Software industry areas. Mr. Balun has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in a variety of technology areas, including nanofabrication processes, nanoscale materials, thin films, photovoltaics, semiconductor die packages, consumer electronics, networking, and software systems.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Balun served as an extern for the Honorable Charles R. Breyer at the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of California in 2009.
