SAN DIEGO (August 6) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Partner Ken Jenkins, Managing Partner of the firm’s San Diego office, was named one of the San Diego Daily Transcript’s Top Attorneys in the publications annual Top Attorneys special report. Mr. Jenkins was named a member of “The Transcript 10” category. The Daily Transcript selected only ten noteworthy San Diego County attorneys to be listed under “The Transcript 10,” which showcases an eclectic mix of practices.
The Daily Transcript’s Top Attorney special report pays tribute to San Diego County’s legal cream of the crop. It is the culmination of a lengthy peer voting process that began in March, and generated over 800 nominations.
Dr. Jenkins’ practice focuses on patent counseling and patent litigation, primarily in the health and life sciences and the oil and gas-petrochemicals industries. He routinely counsels biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies of all sizes in developing their patent claiming and filing strategies, procuring patents on cornerstone technologies, and strategically managing patent portfolios to maximize investments. Dr. Jenkins also counsels lenders and investors in assessing the value of patent assets through due diligence reviews, including validity analyses, freedom to operate analyses, and in-licensed technology investigations. In addition to patent counseling, he represents pharmaceutical companies in high-stakes patent litigations involving challenges under the Hatch-Waxman Act.
