Successfully defended Cree Inc., a leading manufacturer of LED technology, in a single-plaintiff discrimination lawsuit from filing through the appeals process. The plaintiff in this matter claimed sex and race discrimination in pay and promotions. The district court granted summary judgment in favor of Cree and awarded our client its costs in the action. On appeal, the Fourth Circuit Court affirmed the district court’s decision. The plaintiff’s petition for review is presently before the United States Supreme Court.
