Monica Parvulescu focuses her practice on trademark and copyright law. She assists clients with trademark enforcement, protection, and global portfolio management and strategy, and oversees domestic and international contentious proceedings.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Parvulescu was a trademark and copyright attorney in the Los Angeles office of a North American law firm where she concentrated her practice on trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement. Previously, Ms. Parvulescu served as Business & Legal Affairs Counsel at one of North America’s largest indie distributors. While there, she negotiated film and television distribution agreements and various service agreements, and collaborated with the Operations and Sales Teams to oversee content and rights management. Upon graduating law school, Ms. Parvulescu was an associate in the Trademark Practice Group of a New York City-based intellectual property boutique, where she assisted clients in the apparel, entertainment, medical, and technology industries with trademark portfolio management and strategy, and managed domestic and international contentious trademark proceedings, including opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
While in law school, Ms. Parvulescu served as a legal intern in the A&R Department at Sony Music Entertainment in New York City, and also served as a summer associate at the IP boutique she eventually joined after graduation. She also served as Associate Acquisitions Editor of the Cardozo Journal of Public Law, Policy & Ethics
Ms. Parvulescu is fluent in Romanian and conversational in Spanish.
